Air Finland made a net profit of over million euros

Air Finland exceeded all its targets in year 2005. The company made a 1.1 million euros net profit. The airline also carried 404.000 passengers during the year.

Air Finland�s third year of operations showed that the company has found its place in the Finnish airline business. The number of carried passengers exceeded previous year with 30%. With a turnover of slightly over 51 million euros the net profit was 1.1 million euros.

During the spring the company also strength its balance sheet with additional financing, which was backed up by Finnveras additional collateral.

This year has started with a positive note and demand has been strong. The prediction for year 2006 looks good and the financial result is expected to be better than the year before. The company is aiming for half a million passenger this year.

�We decided already in summer 2005 to focus to our most popular scheduled destinations and to further strengthen our cooperation with tour operators. We opened a new route to Bangkok last fall and made several new agreements with new tour operators�, says Air Finland�s managing director Mika Helenius.

�In the future Air Finland will focus to its core business together with tour operators and will continue to grow profitably. Our excellent ability for customer service and position as an independent service provider gives us a clear competitive edge�, continues Helenius.

Air Finland has established its position as a choice for Finnish holiday travelers: high quality flights and friendly service with customers own language has earned the company a top position in an independent comparison of charter companies and also the gratitude of its customers.

The airline also received the marketing act of the year award in the fall of 2005.
